Inez earned her Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and Technology from Delft University of Technology and Leiden University. As part of her minor, she studied Geneeskunde voor technische studenten (Medicine for Technical Students) at Erasmus MC. For her Bachelor’s thesis, Inez conducted research at LUMC in the Medical Microbiology group, where she investigated the effects of introducing CfrB into a susceptible laboratory strain of Clostridium difficile. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University. Under the guidance of Nicky Kruit and Dr. Margreet de Vries, her research focuses on the effects of perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) browning on the morphology and immune cell populations in both the vascular wall and PVAT.
