Research & Curriculum
Emmelotte is currently a third year bachelor student biomedical sciences at the LUMC and is interested in various topics like immunology, genetics and vascular biology. She did a half minor at the Erasmus MC in organ transplantation, including an observership at the transplantation unit of the Curry Cabral Hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. At this moment she is doing her internship at the vascular research group of prof. dr. Quax and Dr. de Vries. Her project focuses on the effect of oxalate-induced kidney disease on AVF remodeling. This coming September she will start her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the LUMC.
